Curriculum Primary Section
The primary school curriculum is designed to guide students in forming a truly universal outlook. It aims at developing a sense of wisdom for their welfare as well as that of others. Students learn to think rationally, develop problem solving skills and carry out each task assigned to them with responsibility, commitment and efficiency as they transition into higher academic levels. At the Pre-Primary Stage our focus and the expected outcomes can briefly be summarized as: Development of reading readiness, writing readiness and pre–number concepts and promotion of knowledge and understanding skills, personal, moral and social skills and age appropriate values will be the focus.

Curriculum Middle Section
The middle wing academic programme is focussed to prepare the students for serious cognitive performances. They are being led through concept based, activity oriented and project based learning system. Various forms of testing, like pen and paper tests, online tests, MCQ tests etc. go hand in hand with the teaching stratigies. Concepts are being taught stimulating interest in it, using PPTs, internet and various resources available in the school library. Students are allowed exposure to various cognitive opportunities through well designed pedagogical methodologies to form in them the basis of the global knowledge system. Quality trainings are imparted to develop students with logical and scientific mind set. Ample opportunities are being given to develop their linguistic and communication skills. Various academic activities are being organised to lead them to critical and creative thinking. It is important for the students of this age to think out of the box as this can develop unique attributes in the individuals. Through personal and group counselling sessions, performances in academics and other activities and through one’s pattern of response in various situations, we try to identify the core talent area of every student and nourish every one with care. Beyond lesson plans and tests, the syllabus also focuses on empowering students with knowledge, self-awareness and self- confidence. They learn to Analyze how the topic extends beyond the classroom into the outside world. The Interdisciplinary approach dissolves boundaries of subjects encouraging learning across the curriculum amongst our young learners. We develop a plan where the theme encompasses all curricular areas.
Along with academics, we also underscore the importance of developing critical thinking faculties. We have “Quality circle time” wherein they learn Life skills.
Education goes way beyond the classroom walls. In the middle school, students get to engage their minds and bodies and involve themselves in a host of co-curricular programmes including football, basketball, cricket, badminton, tabel tennis, and track and field events.
Curriculum Secondary Section
The secondary section of Delhi Public School Hazaribag has a modern approach for addressing the needs of students of the high school level.
